Tired of big chain hotels where every bedroom is the same and all are equally forgettable?
At Garvock we do things differently. Our privately-owned 200-year-old hotel is unlike any other.
Each of our 26 guest rooms are furnished to our owner’s chic taste and no two are the same. Large windows let light flood in and create a fresh and airy atmosphere. And rich quality fabrics give every room a laid-back luxury feel.
In all our rooms comfort is the main priority. Sink in to our sumptuous beds with feather-soft linen and plump pillows. Soak away the day in a deep bath with pampering Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.
Whether you’ve been partying or working hard, you’ll enjoy peace as soon as you close the door. Surrounded by peaceful gardens, the only sounds among the silence will be gentle birdsong rather than beeping traffic.
And instead of an alarm call, why not ease your way to a new day by waking up to a full Scottish breakfast in the privacy of your room?
As hoteliers for decades, we know little details make a big difference. So we’ve ensured everything you need is in every room, from fluffy bathrobes to flowers, hairdryers to irons, complimentary DVDs and wifi.
Keen to add more? We’ll happily arrange bottles of champagne, extra flowers - even petal-strewn sheets and a candlelit bubble bath to make your night truly unforgettable.
Couples fall in love with our extravagant bridal suite. Kids look forward to bedtime in our family rooms. And spending a night away from home on business can be spent in peace and privacy.
Garvock bedrooms have everything you can dream of. The only thing you need is your pjs.
Hello, I’m Henry.
I run things around here and have a message for my two-legged friends. It’s pawful to think of furry members of your family being left behind when you fancy a hotel stay. Fur-tunately, my mutt mates are not just accepted through Garvock’s door but welcomed with a big smile, a tummy rub (and a tasty treat - bone appetit!)
There are lots of scamper gardens and parks with tasty sticks nearby. Dog-tired from all that tail-wagging? Snuggle up in a bedroom or sit at heel in the lounge.
My owners are a friendly breed. They can provide a cosy dog bed and water bowl and just need to charge an extra £20 for laundry costs. They say in all their years of running this hotel under my management, they’ve never had a dog here who’s stolen towels or had too much to drink at the bar. So if all you owners are as well behaved as your dogs, you can stay here too.
Please don’t forget your dogs when you book in to Garvock. I can’t wait until you come and have a sniff around.
Garvock is absolutely first rate. The hotel building and grounds are maintained to an impeccable standard and the attentive staff and owners ensure that your needs are taken care of from the moment you arrive. The rooms are fantastic, well appointed with comfy beds and good quality furniture. On my last visit I dined in the restaurant, the food was excellent and I would dine here even if I wasn't a guest.
Finally - breakfast, this is a real occasion, great selection, beautiful, calm surroundings providing a great start to the day. If you stay at the Gavock, leave plenty of time to enjoy breakfast. Everything at the Gavock seems to be done to a very high standard and the hotel is a real credit to the owners and their staff. If you are in the area, this is not to be missed.
Gorgeous Garvock is a beautiful hotel set in beautiful grounds. Close enough to Edinburgh for those who want to visit but close enough to various other attractions in the surrounding area. Our room was lovely, very spacious with a full bathroom with shower over bath. Lovely furnishings, hospitality tray and toiletries. Housekeeping was excellent. Very nice cooked breakfast and a nice variety of fruit, cereals etc. Very friendly staff in all areas. All in all a lovely stay at the Garvock and hopefully will stay there again in the not too distant future.
From the moment you drive on to the property you immediately realise that the Garvock House Hotel is simply in a class of its own. The gardens are immaculate and offer great scenic views of Dunfermline. The rooms are very spacious and are well appointed with everything we needed. Our stay was for ten days and you may expect to find flaws with staff or food service however that was not the case, nothing was ever a problem or inconvenience for the staff. The meals and dining atmosphere were always superb with a great selection of dishes prepared above and beyond our pallets' expectations. The management team and staff should be highly praised for insuring that every guests experience first class.
