Once upon a time two people fell madly in love and found the perfect wedding venue.
They discovered a truly magical old house where no two weddings were the same yet each one was special.
Garvock House stood in the heart of an ancient town but its secluded landscaped gardens promised peaceful privacy. It was a unique mix of old and new. With a 200-year-old history, the house was an authentic setting for traditional Scottish weddings, and its neutral decor made it an impeccable choice for modern themes.
There were intimate reception rooms for small, romantic ceremonies and rooms big enough for 150 friends to share the joy of a happy couple’s day. Guests were treated to cuisine fit for the fussiest of foodies. Teams of chefs created bespoke menus to suit every taste, from formal banquets to hearty buffets.
And to ensure every couple’s dreams came to life, a wedding co-ordinator was devoted to taking care of big ideas and tiny details. She gave expert advice and removed any stress from the wedding party. And she used tried, tested and trusted suppliers to help with everything from flowers to favours, pipers and photographers.
All 26 bedrooms were different but equally welcoming, because when two families come together under one roof it’s important everyone feels cherished. The bridal suite was sumptuous enough to almost tempt newlyweds to delay leaving for their honeymoon. Almost.
As in every fairytale, the moral of this story is that people matter more than anything else. That’s why Garvock staff are handpicked for their attentive service and even the owners become personally involved in wedding plans.
We vow to ensure that beginning the first chapter of your love story at Garvock sets the scene for a marriage lived happily ever after.

Garvock is the perfect wedding location. Delighted by absolutely everything from the kind and welcoming staff who wee always smiling and happy to help, to the beds that were the most comfortable ever. Our brother got married here on Friday, the entire day ran so smoothly, the food was superb and for those of us who retired slightly early, the soundproofing between function suite and bedrooms meant that it felt we were in the middle of nowhere! Full marks for a wonderful venue and bravo and thanks to the staff.
We were there for a wedding and, being from the hospitality industry myself, I noticed the fantastic hard work all the staff put in. I can't help but not look at things from a work side of things but thase guys had it down to a tee. The wedding was awesome and the reception held at the hotel was one of the best run I've ever been to. I cannot not praise the hotel and every single staff member enough - it was simply a fantastic stay. If you're considering a hotel, go ahead and book this one. I'm fussy find it hard to take my hospitality head off and not look for faults. This place I couldn't find one . Thank you Garvock house. One day we will be back.

We are locals and attended our friends' wedding here. From start to finish the organisation of the day was first class. Every single member of staff was pleasant and helpful and the service was seamless. It is obvious all the staff are very well trained to a high standard and they made the transition of the room from wedding venue, to meal, to evening use quickly and professionally. The food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. This is the best wedding I have attended and every member of staff at Garvock should be applauded for their hard work and professionalism.
